The Salvation Army-Doing the Most Good
Mike Anderson Chevrolet participates in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program every year. We sponsor an Angel Tree which is located in the New Vehicle showroom beginning in mid November until mid December. This tree is decorated with angels bearing the name of an underprivileged child that might otherwise have no gifts on Christmas morning. Through this vital program the Salvation Army and it's partners, like Mike Anderson Chevrolet, make it easy for employees and customers to select a child, purchase gifts, drop them off and have them delivered in time for Christmas. Giving Back to the Community
The "Giving Back to the Community" program was created by Mike Anderson in 2008 as a way to "pay it forward". This program is designed to re-invest in our local community and the vital non-profit organizations that bless us throughout the year. Non-profit organizations must be located in Lake or Porter counties (Indiana) to qualify. Mike Anderson Chevrolet takes a percentage of vehicle sale profits earned throughout the year and distributes it to applicants that are chosen by a committee comprised of Mike Anderson Chevrolet employees. The application process is easy and convenient. We encourage our customers and employees alike to continue to make this program a success. Applications are available at the service cashier window beginning January 1 and are due back in our office by November 1. The monetary donations are distributed by mid December. Rebuilding or Neighborhoods
Mike Anderson Chevrolet partners with "Rebuilding Together" a national non-profit organization benefiting local elderly, disabled, and financially-exhausted homeowners. The main event takes place every September on a Saturday. The local chapter, Rebuilding Together of Southlake County, through an application process, chooses the homes and homeowners that have the greatest need. As a sponsor, Mike Anderson Chevrolet donates the money and the manpower needed to complete the one-day home improvement blitz for 1 of several homes chosen. This is an awesome way to reinvest in our neighborhoods and more importantly, our neighbors in need. Breast Cancer Walk
Mike Anderson Chevrolet participates in the annual October Breast Cancer Walk Event at Hidden Lake in Merrillville. The dealership organizes a team composed of both employees and customers to walk for the cure. Mike Anderson Chevrolet matches the pledges the participants raised to reach our dealership goal. It is n rewarding way to spend an October Sunday afternoon and it's always exciting to see such a large group of caring people gather at this life saving event to celebrate more birthdays.
